As a little, year-in-review post, I wanted to share some of the photos that ended up not making the cut for various reasons. Take a look, I’m sure you’ll get a kick out of them!

Liebster Award
It’s not often that I get nominated for anything or win anything in general. I managed to leave my youth with only about two trophies from sports and various activities and most of the time they were for participation. But yesterday, I found a very kind comment on my New Years Eve post from James Bonfield Recipes. He nominated me for a Liebster Award, which showcases new, small blogs to get their name out into the blogging world and I am truly touched and honored that he would consider nominating my little blog!
For Your New Years Party
If you are not like me and are planning on throwing a really fabulous and fun New Years party, then I’m sure you’ll need some food and drinks to go along with it. May I present, my favorite cocktail drinks and snacks for New Years 2013. These recipes are sure to knock your socks off and impress all your guests. And if you’re making any of them for your gathering, can you invite me? I still don’t have plans for New Years, shocker.
Hot Chocolate Popovers
You know what the scariest piece of equipment is in the kitchen? The broiler. I hate that thing. Honestly, it freaks me out. I’m always afraid that I’m going to light myself on fire or my shoe while bending over to open it up or take something out.
Strawberry Almond Granola
It’s highly probable that I will never need to eat again in my entire life. The one great thing about the holidays is that you only have to feel guilty about how much you’ve been eating after New Years. On January 2nd, it is no longer acceptable to keep running back to your fridge and grabbing whatever you can carry. And let’s be honest, by then you really should have thrown away your Christmas leftovers.
Merry Christmas!
Puffy Peanut Butter Cookies with Chocolate Chips: Day 12 of 12 Days of Christmas Cookies
Let’s take a second and talk about the fact that today is Christmas Eve. Christmas Eve. Should I say it again? When did this happen? I distinctly remember yesterday being Halloween. And I’m pretty sure the day before that was the first day of classes. Obviously, someone is meddling with time and they should really cut it out because at this rate, next week will be my 30th birthday.
